The first phase of Nicholl Skate Plaza was completed and opened in Nicholl Park in conjunction with Arbor Day.

Six coast redwood trees were planted with the assistance of the Mayor and local young skateboarders.

Benches and other furnishing will be provided by Richmond Friends of Recreation who have adopted this site.
