Richmond businesses receive carts or bins of varying size free of charge to meet recycling needs. All recyclable items may be put in the blue recycling cart or bin together.
Green Waste/Wood/Cardboard/Metal Only Drop Boxes
Drop boxes for green waste, wood, cardboard, and metal (20-40 yard) are available from Richmond Sanitary Service for a reduced charge. Contact Richmond Sanitary Service at (510) 232-5872 to order a drop box or for more information.

Ceramic, mirror and plate glass, incandescent light bulbs (These items are garbage)
Electronic devices (See Electronic Waste)
Food, take-out boxes, soiled pizza boxes, snack wrappers, milk and juice cartons, soup boxes (These items are garbage)
Napkins, tissue, straws, plastic utensils (These items are garbage)
Plastic bags, styrofoam, plastic film / saran wrap (These items are garbage)
