The Richmond Fire Department Office of Emergency Services offers free non-certification CPR courses.  Training is provided by American Medical Response.

The CPR for Friends and Family course is modular and teaches rescuer skills in CPR and relief of choking (foreign-body airway obstruction).  It presents information about the adult and child Chains of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, and choking in adults.  If time and resources permit, the course may also present information on pediatric infant Chain of Survival and signs of choking in infants.

Please note that this is an "information only" course - there is no "certification" upon completion.
