The drive thru free flu clinic was a huge success, with 3,300 people receiving the seasonal flu vaccine and/or the H1N1 vaccine.

On Saturday, November 7, 2009 there was a FREE drive thru seasonal flu clinic at the Hilltop Mall in the JC Penney parking lot.  The event ran from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and is sponsored by Contra Costa Health Services and Hilltop Mall in conjunction with JC Penney.  All ages are welcome but please no pets! Great CA Shakeout

On October 15 at 10:15 a.m., the City of Richmond, the State of California, California Volunteers encourages our Citizen Corps programs to join the millions of Californians that will participate in the Great California ShakeOut! 

The purpose of the ShakeOut is to practice how to protect ourselves during earthquakes, and to encourage us to get prepared at work, school, and home.

This is a great opportunity to test our preparedness and we hope you can join the millions of Californians that will participate in the Great California ShakeOut. For additional information, please visit ShakeOut.org and find other unique and innovative ways to get involved.

At 10:15 am on 10/15/09 we are all encouraged to practice protective measures responding to an earthquake which is Stop, Drop and Hold.  The website also gives information for People with Disabilities who are mobility challenged as well.
