Civic Center Public Art
In 2009 Bay Area artists were solicited to participate in designing public art for the revitalization of the Civic Center. The locations include the revitalized Civic Center Plaza, City Hall, the Council Chambers, and the existing Hall of Justice.

The Artist Solicitation Process distributed over 2500 requests for qualifications for eight site-specific commissions and design-only projects. The site-specific projects included a sculpture with water feature, ornamental metal, glass privacy walls, and murals. A design-only project included etched metal elevator doors.
