Tapestry weighs 250 lbs. Made by a Hungarian Bay Area artist known for unique basketry weaving. The artist originally came from Budapest, Hungary. She lived in the Bay Area where she was well known for her unique basketry type of weaving and was director of Fiberworks School of Textile Arts, in Berkeley. The artist now lives in India. The work itself weighs 250 pounds and took four months to complete.
