The Robbery / Homicide Unit
To serve the citizens of Richmond most efficiently we have a dayshift and a swing shift Robbery / Homicide Team. By having the two teams work different schedules we have a Robbery / Homicide Detective on-duty 18 hours per day. During the hours when Robbery / Homicide Detectives are not on-duty, one full team is on “on-call” and can be reached by the Watch Commander 24 hours a day.
The eleven detectives and two supervisors assigned to the Robbery / Homicide Unit are all dedicated officers of the Richmond Police Department. The main goal of the Robbery / Homicide Unit is to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Richmond by arresting and convicting the dangerous felons responsible for these crimes. The Robbery / Homicide Teams rely on information from the citizens of Richmond and they welcome the assistance from the public.
