The City of Richmond (City) invites the shortlist of qualified developers to submit development proposals to serve as the master developer of the Point Molate property (Point Molate or site) in Richmond. The City seeks development proposals, from a shortlist of qualified developers, that are financially feasible, “self-funded”, and maximize community benefits and preferences, including purchase price, on-site affordable housing, expanded public open space and access, improvements to Point Molate pier and Beach Park, job opportunities for Richmond residents, construction of the Bay Trail through the site, and enhanced shoreline access.

Request for Proposals (RFP)

Responses to the RFP are due Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.

Public presentations from all RFP respondents are anticipated on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 6:30pm. Details are outlined in the RFP.

Point Molate - Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from Developers

The City of Richmond seeks to select a qualified developer or developers, including joint ventures, to serve as master developer in a public/private partnership with the City for development of approximately 271 acres of the Point Molate property (Point Molate or site). Additionally, developers who are interested in developing discrete portions of the site are encouraged to respond, as the City expects the selected master developer to consider such other interested developers for inclusion on their ultimate development team. You may download the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) or you can register on-line at www.ci.richmond.ca.us/bids to receive future notifications regarding any addendum to the RFQ or future development opportunities.
