Responsibilities
Finance Administration provides direction and oversight of Finance Department employees to provide fiscal support, oversight and control to the Mayor and Council, City Agencies and City Departments to ensure proper fiscal management, budgeting, and accounting; maintains financial, auditing and record keeping standards to ensure sound fiduciary practices.
Key services include tax collections, specifically business licensing; purchasing; budget development and monitoring; capital planning; financial forecasting; treasury; payroll; accounts payable; and financial reporting.
In addition, Finance Administration reviews the fiscal impact of all City staff reports; provides project management of City-wide and Department-wide projects; oversees special audits; provides fiscal analysis of various proposals.
