A Richmond renewable energy company is currently seeking pilot line operators to produce solar modules and carry out experiments in a highly, but not fully automated production environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Manufacture large solar thin film panels in a highly automated process

Move and feed large pieces of glass to industrial equipment
–
Set and supervise equipment
–
Control and report process data, if necessary communicate and react on events
–
Encapsulate modules in a semi-automated manner
SKILLS
–
Ability to strictly follow standards over and over again, not introducing even seemingly insignificant changes
–
Ability to selectively put those standards into question, to come up with and codify better solutions
–
Ability to work in a team, being a reliable, supportive and pro-active team member
–
Ability to perform more elaborate manual tasks repetitively while keeping high level of accuracy
EDUCATION
–
3+ years of industry experience, best in photovoltaic, glass or other mature industries like semiconductor or automotive
–
A trade school or college degree is desirable
