Parents, family members, friends and neighbors: Please help us spread the word about two important deadlines for high school seniors across Richmond: FAFSA /CA Dream Act (Today!) and the Richmond Promise.

Even if the student you know isn’t thinking about a four year university right now, she or he should still apply for financial aid and the Richmond Promise to support an opportunity to attend community college.

FAFSA CA DEADLINE
FAFSA and CA Dream Act
High School Seniors: the State deadline to fill out your FAFSA OR CA Dream Act application is today Wednesday, March 2nd (midnight, Central time), to be eligible for many financial aid programs including the Cal grant.

FAFSA Application: https://fafsa.gov/

CA Dream Act Application: https://dream.csac.ca.gov/

Remember: you or your parents do not have to have filed their taxes to submit an application. You can always go back later once they are complete to finish FAFSA. Even if your application is incomplete, you should still submit to be eligible for these important State grants.

Free tax preparation resources are available on the Richmond Promise website: http://www.richmondpromise.org/freetaxprep/
