This month, the Richmond Food Policy Council's monthly Food Justice Film Series presents The Future of Food [https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=n9Y_QH_c70s] . This timely documentary distills the complex technology and consumer issues surrounding major changes in the food system today -- genetically engineered foods, patenting, and the corporatization of food -- into terms every person can understand. It empowers consumers to realize the consequences of their food choices on our future.
The film will be accompanied by Eric Eberman, child labor activist and co-organizer of MAM (March Against Monsanto), and food by local co-op Liberty Ship Cafe. [http://www.libertyshipcafe.coop/] A $5 donation will be appreciated.
