City Facilities/Programs Update

Community Development (Planning and Building)

Community Centers and Recreation Programming

  • Most Community Services Department facilities are closed for indoor programming until further notice.
  • The City is issuing some special permits for fitness activities as allowed under current health orders. Please contact our Registration Office for more information on how to obtain a rental permit and check availability at (510) 620-6793 or registration@ci.richmond.ca.us

Library

  • The Main Library is offering some curbside services. View their website for more information.

Parks

  • City of Richmond parks are open for personal use and exercise.

Pools

  • The Richmond Swim Center and the Richmond Plunge are currently closed. 
  • Please visit the Aquatics website for more information. 

Public Safety (Police and Fire)

  • All public safety departments will be available, with modified public access.
  • The Police Department lobby will NOT be open to the public. Please call 911 for emergency services, use the phone outside of the lobby doors, or contact our non-emergency line 510-233-1214 to file a report.
  • The Fire Department administration office is closed to the public. Please call 911 for emergency services, or email fire@ci.richmond.ca.us for non-emergency inquiries. Visit our Fire page for more information.

Public Works 

  • All Public Works services are essential and will continue.

Richmond Rent Program

  • For more information about evictions during the period of local emergency, as well as resources to address food, shelter, health and other emergency needs, please visit the rent program website.
  • Rent Program staff are available by phone at (510) 234-RENT [7368] or email (rent@ci.richmond.ca.us) to address any questions from community members.
