    Congratulations on being selected as a 2024-25 Neighborhood Public Art (NPA) Grantee!

    Outlined below are the next steps required to enter into an agreement with the City of Richmond.  Please review the information below and make sure to complete each item in its entirety. The requested information is due by Close of Business (COB) on Friday, July 19, 2024. Earlier submissions are encouraged as staff will begin working on the items as they are received.

  11. 5. Will your cumulative contracts with the City of Richmond or with persons or businesses within the city of Richmond total $10,000 or more?*

    Cumulative contract values equal to or greater than $10,000 require a City of Richmond Business License. 

    You may apply for a business license online (recommended) at Business License Portal

  12. 6. Insurance Certificate

    All vendors MUST carry current insurance. Provide a copy of your current insurance certificate AND the additional insured endorsement naming the City of Richmond as an additional insured.  

    The City requires Certificate(s) of Insurance coverage verification documents and Additional Insured Endorsement(s). These documents must be issued by your company’s insurance agent. Feel free to share the attached examples with your insurance agent so that they understand the City’s requirements. 

    Insurance requirements may be waived on a case-by-case basis.  Please contact staff if you have questions related to insurance.

  14. Things to Consider:

    You will be required to comply with additional requests for required information and/or documents prior to receiving grant funding, including but not limited to:

    1. A signed contract with a Purchase Order and Contract number.
    2. An invoice from the artist to the City of Richmond requesting payment.
    3. Proof of insurance for any paid artists working on this project.
    4. Additional requests for documents as deemed necessary by the City.
    5. Any artist who receives awarded art funds shall give City of Richmond and grant source credit as a sponsor for the public art project (e.g., mural, social media, etc.) A high-resolution City of Richmond logo will be provided upon request.
