Sewer Maintenance
The Wastewater Collection System is an intricate composition of underground pipelines and pump stations which brings wastewater from Richmond residents and businesses to the Water Pollution Control Plant which is now run by Veolia (formerly US Filter.) The pipelines and pump stations operate continuously 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The unsung heroes of the system are the Collection System Maintenance Crew and the Pump Station Mechanics.
