23060 - Downtown Point Richmond Bicycle Connectivity

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Create a safe environment to cycle through the Point Richmond Downtown and completing the bicycle network connection from the Bridge to the Ferry.

Outreach Plan

The success of this project hinges on understanding and integrating the views of a wide range of community members. Our strategy is to establish functional communication, build trust, and guide an informed discussion about the trade-offs between design options, ultimately aiming for broad acceptance of the selected plan.

Key Stakeholders

We recognize the critical importance of engaging the entire community, including:

  • Transportation Advocates: TRAC (Trails for Richmond Action Committee)

  • Neighborhood Leadership: PRNC (Point Richmond Neighborhood Council)

  • Local Business Community: Point Richmond Business Association

  • School Community: Washington Elementary School parents and staff

  • Area Residents: Point Richmond residents and greater Richmond Residents

Our Core Strategy

Engagement will begin by clearly outlining the project scope (what we will and won't address) and listening to existing community frustrations. To ensure deep understanding and integration of all voices, our strategy proposes a mix of online, in-person, and on-site activities at every project milestone.
